I will be moving that way soon and I was just wondering if there was anything anyone could tell me about the area? 

Do you have children, and if so what ages? There are many free and low cost venues around here such as Phillips Zoo, Cosely Animal Farm, various prairies and preserves... If you are a single adult, there are others who could advise you on the social life around here. Welcome!!!

There are lots and lots of things to do with kids here! I love it...I have a 4 year old and 1 year old :) The park districts are great...I'm in Bolingbrook and LOVE LOVE LOVE the park district. Naperville has a really good one too as do the other towns around us. The Arboretum is so nice and we are very close to downtown...half hour to 45 minutes and we can visit the Shedd Aquarium, the other museums, Millenium Park, the Lincoln Park Zoo, etc. There are also a lot of mom's groups here...check out meetup.com to see! There is tons of stuff to do here, the childrens museum, kids kitchen, bounce town in oswego, zoo in aurora, centenial beach, naper settlemen a great place for a family, plenty of park district activities, odyssey fun world you name it you can find it oh and of course a chucky cheese that is clean and the games are in working order (I have been to some that everything is busted) brunswick bowling alley with plenty of rides and games.
